A couple days ago, Alicia emailed me with some love troubles. She said:

"I have a crush on this boy, a big one, and I don't know how to tell him I like him. It's just really hard! I've got no clue what to say. Can You help me?"

Well, Alicia, I think i can help you! The first thing you have to do is get over the fear of being rejected. I mean, if everybody wasn't afraid of being left out, rejected, or refused, it would make life whole lot easier. So, if you're crush says he doesn't like you the same way, don't get too worked up about it! I know this sounds corny, but there are a lot of fish in the sea! So, once you're ready, just walk up to him and say "hi" once you get to know each other a little, It will be easier to tell him how you really feel. Anyway, if you get to know the real him, you may decide you like being just friends better!

Trying to like Doggie

Some people who have pets, they might want a puppy. They're so cute right? My sister got a dog that ..um.. is cute, and annoying.

She bites and isn't really what I like (I wanted a cat), so how do I deal with that "sweet" mutt? Don't yell, and don't expect that she's as 'sweet" as you think.

2. Don't yell at someone when you're mad. count to ten , then talk.
3. Be nice to nerds; you'll probably work for one.
4. Set aside ten minutes for yourself a day. Relax; try yoga ,meditate ,paint, or read.

My friend keeps getting bruises. She says her sport is fencing so she gets bruises. She keeps getting bruises that are shaped like hand prints. They aren't bruises from fencing cause those kinds of hand prints dont do that.

Hi!On picture day at my school this boy which shall not be named said "I don't think the camera will be able to look at that face!"and it really made me feel bad so i know i should've went to my mom and asked for advice but, she was at a business party and well my brother and sister are at college so i have to stay home alone.(I am old enough to stay home)The next day the boy this time called me toad and then when I went into the bathroom I then realized that I was ugly. Kristine how can I realize that I am beautiful?I mean I am fat and i wear glasses what should i do?

Dear Toad (but you really aren't in my opinion),

Your right to think that you can reolize you are beautiful. I want you to know that for a long time I was like you. I thought just because I too was overwieght and wore glasses, that I was ugly. It was then that I began to feel a lot of self pity. I would go into the bathroom, the only rooms with locks, and right in my journal poetry. Looking back on the poetry made me realose that I was the one putting myself in pain, not them. I want you to know that his comments may hurt, but that you are what is making you sad. He cannot MAKE you feel a certain way. Also, if you are depending on the outside world to tell you your pretty, your really waiting for someone to give you the confidence to think that you are pretty.

Toad, Beauty comes from the inside. It may take a while to fiqure that out, but it does. What finally got me out of my rut was acting camp. I vented into hobbies. Having fun and hanging out with people who had simalar intrests took my mind of my self pity. I worked hard, and in my first year there, I got lead role. They didn't care what I looked like, they picked me because I had inner beauty and talent.

Also, part of growing up is doubting who you are, and what to do. But don't let them bug you.

But, if for some reason you still feel bad, remember this, and tell yourself this... "I have lived through worse than his teasing, and I will live through worse than his teasing. There is no need for his teasing to bring me down." If you keep telling yourself this, I can assure you that you will feel better.

So, when all else fails stick to these three things.
1. Spend time in hobbies.
2. Realise everyone gets teased.
and 3.Remember this isn't the worst thing and the world, and it will go away.

Toad, your beautiful. You may not have "blossomed", or maybe this guy is just a jerk... or maybe he likes you, since a lot of guys tease the girls they like, but someone out there thinks your beautiful and special.

The ugly duckling swims alone
For teasing makes her cry
Alone with all her pity
Leting life pass her by
But inside she is beauty
Unknowledged by those who tease
She shines like the sun inside
She never aims to please
For she does what she feels right
And she never questions why
The ugly duckling's beautiful
But she lets life pass her by
And then when she see's the light
That she doesn't need there kind
Then she truly becomes beautiful
Not only in her mind
They ooh and ahh
They like her look
But all the time she wasted
Was all the time they took
So, she truly always was
The prettist one of all
and now life doesn't pass her by
And her happiness never falls
